COVID 19 Risk Assessment

COVID-19 remains a public health issue and guidance for workplaces has been replaced with public health advice.  The HSE no longer expects every business to consider COVID-19 in their risk assessment or have specific measures in place.  However, employers may still consider to choose to continue to cover COVID-19 in their risk assessments.

There is a requirement to protect those who will come into contact with the virus due to their work activity;

Identification of people at risk including members of the public and those potential considered vulnerable

Travel required to and from the facility

Workplace risk both within the individuals office/work station and the communal areas/wider workplace

An increasing number of companies are adopting hybrid working practices.  Employers must protect employees from health and safety risks from working on a computer or laptop at home.  DSE risk assessments must be completed for homeworkers.  ETS can provide homeworking assessment policies and templates.
